Y our Thoughts

SRSH aims to understand more about mental health and eating disorders among the student population. There is a lack of good research exploring the prevalence and causes of mental health problems among the student population and even less exploring how accessible treatment is for students. Please help us give a voice to students with mental health problems. All surveys that we conduct feed into reports on the state of student mental health, facilitating us to campaign for better support provision and greater understanding.

Grand Challenges in Student Mental Health
We regularly hear from students who don't feel that there is enough being done to support student mental health. A way to change this is to highlight the major areas of concern. We want your thoughts about the areas of student mental health that really need attention.

Feedback on an SRSH support group
We always value feedback about the support we are providing. This allows us to build and develop our support network.

Support for Student Mental Health
This questionnaire will take 10 - 15 minutes to complete. It may take longer if you want to tell us more about your own experiences.

Talking about Mental Health: How Confident do You Feel?
Did you know that 1 in 4 will experience mental health problems at some point during their lives? With young people at particular risk of experiencing mental health problems, its likely that many of your course mates at university are currently struggling with some mental health issues. One way we can all protect our mental health is to talk openly about the stresses and strains of daily life and be honest when we feel we are starting to struggle. How confident do you feel talking about mental health?

Check out what people have told us so far.
Binge Eating Disorder Survey
We'd like to know more about the situation regarding BED in the student population, whether students are able to access adequate support and what we can do to make our support groups more accessible to students with BED.
What's on your plate?
We are trying to gauge what are normal/common eating habits for university students. The aim of this will be to establish a baseline for the work we do with disorder eating.
