Support Us

SRSH is a small charity built around volunteering. We run a network of support groups across the country to ensure that students with mental health problems always have access to support.

It costs us approximately £2,000 a year to maintain each of our groups. This covers the cost of training, supporting and supervising our volunteers. Most of our funding is used to employ a staff member to co-ordinate our team of over 100 volunteers.

In return for the time and effort we put into supporting our volunteers, they deliver around 1000 hours a year of direct support for students with mental health problems.

While some of our projects are funded directly by the university, much of our work is reliant upon grants and donations.

We would like to thank for following individuals and organisations for supporting SRSH over the past year:
Comic Relief, The Welton Foundation, The Big Lottery Fund, The Stephen Trust Fund, Brasenose College Hulme Common Room, Hampshire County Council .

And the following universities for contributing towards the running costs of the projects at their university:
The University of Reading, the University of Lancaster, the University of East Anglia, the University of Leeds, University of Portsmouth, Swansea University & Southampton University.

Thank you for your support!
